General Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Welcome to Bedz4Kids (www.bedz4kids.com), a trading name of Scandinavian House Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 03964887 and VAT number 734698590. Our registered office is at Old Mill House, Dockfield Road, Shipley, West Yorkshire, BD17 7AD. Throughout these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), "we", "us", and "our" refer to Scandinavian House Ltd.

These Terms govern the sale of our products ("Products") via our website and over the phone. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and other referenced documents such as our Privacy Policy and Delivery Policy.

Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order and save a copy for your records.


1. Ordering

1.1 All orders placed via our Website or by phone are subject to acceptance under these Terms.

1.2 You can review and edit your order before final submission. Ensure accuracy at each step.

1.3 Submitting an order does not constitute a binding contract.

1.4 A contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email ("Confirmation").

1.5 All products are subject to availability. If an item is unavailable, we will inform you and issue a full refund if already paid.

1.6 Personal data provided during checkout will be stored and processed in line with our Privacy Policy.

1.7 Custom-made products (e.g., upholstered beds made to order) cannot be cancelled once in production. Any goodwill refund is at our discretion and not a legal obligation.


2. Cancellations & Returns

2.1 Your Right to Cancel

If you're a consumer, you have 14 calendar days from the day after receiving your order to cancel.

2.2 How to Cancel

To cancel, notify us clearly by emailing info@bedz4kids.com. You may also use the cancellation form at the end of these Terms.

2.3 Refunds Before Dispatch

If cancelled before dispatch, we’ll refund you in full, including any delivery fees, within 14 days of your notice.

2.4 If the Product Has Been Delivered

Return the item within 14 days of cancellation. You’re responsible for return costs unless the item is faulty. If we arrange collection, a £75 fee may apply. Refunds may be reduced for unnecessary handling affecting the item’s value.

2.5 Mattresses

To qualify for a return, mattresses must remain unopened in original packaging.

2.6 Faulty or Incorrect Items

If a product is faulty or not as described, you’ll receive a full refund including delivery and return costs. Check items before assembly; we cannot refund for faults evident pre-assembly once built.

2.7 Wood Products

Natural changes in wood, such as darkening or increased knot visibility, are not considered faults.

2.8 Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed via your original payment method.

2.9 Statutory Rights

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights.


3. Delivery

3.1 We deliver only within mainland Great Britain.

3.2 Charges and timescales are detailed on our Delivery page and in your order confirmation.

3.3 Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed.

3.4 If you selected our home assembly service, check the product before assembly. Assembly for non-fault-related returns is considered unreasonable handling and may be subject to charges.

3.5 We are not liable for any loss due to delivery delays.

3.6 Delivery is complete when products arrive at your specified address.

3.7 Responsibility for the product passes to you upon delivery.

3.8 Report any damage within 5 days of receiving your order.

3.9 Some orders are fulfilled by third parties, and your basic delivery details may be shared securely with them.


4. Pricing

4.1 Prices are as shown on the Website. If a pricing error is discovered, we’ll contact you before proceeding.

4.2 Images are for illustration only. Significant differences are noted in product descriptions.

4.3 Decorative items shown in photos are not included unless specified.

4.4 Prices may change, but confirmed orders are unaffected.

4.5 Promotions cannot be applied retroactively.

4.6 Delivery charges are separate unless stated otherwise.

4.7 Price match applies only to identical, in-stock items. A valid link is required for verification. Price match excludes delivery fees.


5. Payment

5.1 We accept Debit/Credit Cards, PayPal, and Bank Transfer. Payment must be made in full before dispatch.

5.2 Prices include VAT at the applicable rate. If VAT changes after your order but before dispatch, we’ll adjust accordingly unless already paid.


6. Guarantees

6.1 We offer a 1-year guarantee on furniture from the date of purchase.

6.2 Some products may come with a manufacturer’s guarantee; refer to included documents.

6.3 Your statutory rights remain unaffected.


7. Our Liability

7.1 We do not exclude liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • Breaches of the Sale of Goods Act or Consumer Protection Act

7.2 We are not liable for indirect losses, including loss of income, data, business or opportunity, or loss of savings or goodwill.

7.3 Our maximum liability is limited to the value of the Product(s) purchased.


8. Data Protection

8.1 Payments are securely processed via Stripe (PCI-certified, AES-256 encrypted). We never store card details.

8.2 When choosing PayPal, your data is managed directly by PayPal.

8.3 We use Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising for website analytics and marketing. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement for more details.

9. General

9.1 All intellectual property rights in the Website are owned or licensed by us.

9.2 We are not responsible for delays due to events outside our control (“Force Majeure”).

9.3 If a Force Majeure event occurs, we will notify you and pause obligations until the situation resolves.

9.4 We may contact you via email or post using the details provided in your order.

9.5 Only you and we have rights under this contract. No third party may enforce its terms.

9.6 If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in full force.

9.7 A delay in enforcing rights does not mean we waive them.

9.8 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be resolved by the English courts.
